Glendon Economics Club
We are a group of students interested, but not necessarily majoring in Economics. Our goal is to inform students about current Economic issues via speaker events, build a strong tie between students and professors and enhance the spirit of belonging at Glendon through our "School Spirit Raising Campaign", of which we donate every dollar we make to the Sick Kids Hospital.

Glendon Linguistics Club (GLC)

Glendon Model NATO
In addition to and in conjecture with NATO simulation, the purpose of the Glendon Model North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (N.A.T.O.) Club is to critically assess the role of NATO in the 21st century. The club will focus on and raise awareness of Canada's role within the organisation.

Glendon Model United Nations (GMUN)
The Glendon Model United Nations (GMUN) was founded in 1983 and is one of the largest and most active clubs at Glendon College. The purpose of the club is to learn about the United Nations, its network of agencies, civil society organisation, non-governmental organisations, and their history and impact on the world through research and debate.

International Studies Students Association
The International Sudies Students Association (ISSA) represents ILST students' academic interests, represents ILST students' interests within the department and Glendon, as well as establishes a communications system between ILST students and the department. The Association also promotes bilingualism and issues the "Glendon Paper" - Glendon's Academic journal.

We are a non-profitable organisation that deals with people with intellectual disabilities. We match students with disabled people in the community through META centre (our agency) and they form a friendship. Glendon Mature Student Organisation
The Glendon Mature Student Organisation is the college chapter of the university wide club called YUMSO (York University Mature Student Organisation). YUMSO is a volunteer organization founded by mature student Edward Fenner in 2004 to help and serve York's growing mature student population. YUMSO servces students attending any of York University's colleges and campuses, and for those learning remotely. Originally founded with the role of mature students helping each other understand the complexities of the university, its role expanded to include helping mature students adjust to and enjoy the back-to-school experience, offer mentorship and advice, and provide a communications network.

Rights and Democracy (International Centre for Human Rights and Democratic Development), is a non-partisan organisation with an international mandate. Peace by PEACE
Peace by PEACE (Playful Exploration of Active Conflict-resolution Education) is committed to teaching grade five children about conflict resolution, self empowerment, bullying, stereotypes and critical thinking in the media. We teach using various methods, such as activities, games arts and crafts, round table disscussions and lectures. We are located on both York University campuses (Keele & Glendon) as well as at U of T (St. George) in Toronto. Right2Speak
Right2Speak builds citizenry by engaging Canadian youth through accessible dialogue. As a program created by youth with a passion for social justice, Right2Speak will stimulate political awareness in all sorts of people throughout levels of government to have both local effects and national impacts. We believe that everyone should have access to examine the political realities that affect their lives, but we're passionate that these beliefs go beyond theories as we implement them into what we do to build strong programs and even stronger connections between you and diverse peer groups.

Archers of Glendon

Archers of Glendon is a club that will allow students who are familiar with archery to practice and engage in tournament-style archery on campus. Students who are not familiar with the sport will get a chance to learn it and find if its something they would like. Archers of Glendon will host frequent intramural matches where the top archers in each style (olympic, recurve & compound) can compete amongst themselves. This is not a hunting or 3d Archery club, however.

Club d'improvisation

Ce club a pour but de créer une organisation d'étudiants qui desirent faire de l'improvisation uniquement en français dans un carde inter-école. Ella a aussi, comme second objectif de rassembler la communauté Francophone de Glendon. L'improvisation permet de divertir, de pratiquer le français ainsi que démontrer la culture Francophone. Le club s'adresse à tout les niveaux d'improvisations et de français.

Glendon Anime Distraction
The Glendon Anime Distraction is a social club for all members of the York University community who are interested in Japanese Animation, mange, movies, culture, music, video games, and other graphic novels. During the year we have discussion, panel, and movie nights. The year is terminated by a trip to Anime North.

Glendon Dance Team
The community for Glendon students who love dance. The team is in its second year and has tons of plans for the upcoming school year. Glendon Musical Ensemble (GME)
The Glendon Musical Ensemble is a group of dedicated amateur singers and instrumentalists drawn from Glendon College's community of students, staff, professors, alumni and friends. The GME was formed in 1999 on the initiative of students of Glendon College. It seeks to foster and encourage the study of music, while at the same time educating members of the community about the timeless beauty of some of the world's most important musical heritage. The Ensemble consists of vocal and instrumental sections, the latter featuring a blend of modern and period instruments. It brings together Glendon students, faculty, alumni and friends who all share a passion for music. Concerts and performances are made possible thanks to the patronage of Office of Student Services, Artistic and Cultural Affairs.

Glendon Touch Rugby Club
To promote and make rugby accessible to the entire York community by playing a minimal-contact version of the sport, while respecting and honouring the rules and atmosphere of the game. ANYBODY can join. ( York Students, staff etc ), You don't have to be a rugby star, and if you haven't touched a rugby ball in your life or KNOW what rugby is (but how could you not?), that's okay. You can still join!

International Club
The International Club proposes monthly excusions around Toronto for members to further discover the city. There is also an annual trip to Niagara Falls in autumn and to New York City in the spring. Students are encouraged to exchange cultural experiences and perhaps practice new languages as well. While the club is mainly geared towards international students, all are welcome.

The aim of the Glendon Africa Network is to help students of African descent and Glendon students gain an understanding of African lifestyle and identity. The club aims to foster knowledge about Africa through the use of poetry, music, arts and culture, seminars and international conferences. Members organise events to help share in-depth knowledge and ideas about Africa in the global arena.

Glendon Multicultural Student Council
This is for all students at Glendon to express and explain what their culture is all about. This organisation lets all students come together and have a great week of multicultural shows and fests. The organization plans on having a week of fun - "MULTICULTURAL WEEK" - where we plan on having multicultural fashion shows, entertainment, cuisine in the form of a buffet, a slide show and a dance to end off the week.

Hillel is a jewish students' organisation dedicated to the promotion of Jewish issues and Jewish fun on campus and off. Its purpose is to be the center of jewish life at Glendon! One of the club's goals is to a connect ourselves socially, intellectually, spiritually, on the basis of our jewish identity. Anyone can join (even if you're just curious) as long as you have a jewish heritage or an interest in jewish life.

Pro Tem
Pro Tem is the Bilingual Newspaper of Glendon College. Founded in 1962, it is York University’s oldest student-run publication, and Ontario’s only bilingual newspaper. At Pro Tem, we are committed towards trying new things. We pride ourselves on delivering reliable and accurate news reports that concern the campus, the city, the country, and the world.

As the newspaper of a college concentrated in the Liberal Arts, Pro Tem aspires to consistently provide a wide range of arts coverage. Our primary audience is the Glendon Student community and we work hard to keep students consistently well-informed. Representing Glendon College to the best of our ability is our main goal. Glendon is also home to a large international student community, and calls the heart of Canada’s most multicultural city home.
